Hi, I’m Annika. Welcome to my website.
I wrote my first children’s book in 2020. It’s the first story in a trilogy - a rhyming picture book in English about Bertie Bunny. Bertie Bunny’s best friend, Maxwell Mouse teaches Bertie about Mindful breathing. The technique he learns helps Bertie Bunny overcome some fears and thus he becomes so much more confident!
I’m a certified Mindfulness teacher who has been practicing yoga and Mindfulness for many years. I’m passionate about sharing the tools with students. I teach teens and young adults.
I can teach in English, French or Swedish. Many students who are beginners in English (or French) learn Mindfulness with me in the language they want to improve. That way, they learn both Mindfulness and improve their chosen language!
Oh yes, I’m also a Montessori teacher and a certified high school (I.B.) teacher of Science (Biology) and I have been teaching English as a second language for many years to students of all ages.
Other passions - my family & friends, all animals & plants, writing & reading, being in water (I practice cold water dipping), walking & hiking, seeing and trying new stuff. Oh, and good food. I love life, basically. I am incredibly grateful and I share this with my students, because we all know that adding gratitude and compassion to this world will make it a better place. So, let’s connect!
I’m Annika and the author of How Bertie Bunny Became Brave. This was the happy day in 2021 when I received the books!!
I often come to schools to read the book and do some Mindfulness exercises. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to contact me.
If you want to book a time for a free Mindfulness session for your teen or you want to know more, don’t hesitate to contact me.
I’m working on some other books as well.
How Bertie Bunny Became Brave is the first book of a trilogy -a rhyming picture book written in English. It’s meant for 4 to 7 year olds and contains Mindfulness exercises in the back. You can order your copy on this website, or from Amazon (but then it’s a different format).
If you also want the sweet crocheted Bertie Bunny, you just need to let me know!
Bertie Bunny comes with the “worried or scared” face and the “content” or “brave” one. Which one do you think your child would prefer?
This is Kelli. She is a very talented artist and a great friend. Annika and Kelli have known each other for more than twenty years. Kelli used water color to paint the story of Bertie Bunny (first book in the Maxwell Mouse and Friends trilogy).
