Thursday – Travelling Time

Not Time Travelling. Although, if you have seen the photos of our Bertie Bunny as he’s been out and about traveling the world, you might think he’s either time traveling or he’s able to teleport himself from one side of this planet to another. What a talented bunny he is!

Everyone is in love with our Bertie Bunny. We took him with us to Croatia this summer. We loved it and he had many nice photos taken there. By the turquoise sea, on boats and in restaurants as well as just hanging out with us. The most precious moment though, was when the wonderful people who own the house where we stayed, sent me a photo of their daughter sleeping with Bertie Bunny next to her. She doesn’t go anywhere without her Bertie Bunny, I was told. That made me smile and warmed my heart.

This is exactly what I hope for: that many children will have a Bertie Bunny to hold and love. Because that is his job. In the book, Bertie Bunny overcomes his uncertainties and anxiety. I want him to bring comfort and joy to many many children everywhere. And he will. At the moment, Bertie Bunny is in the North of Spain, near Gijon, working (part time) at a hotel with our son Kaj. Not that Bertie gets a lot of work done, I mean, although he travels fast, it seems to take him a long time to get from the hotel room to the kitchen, dining room and the reception. But he did visit the coast. Did you see that photo of him holding on tight to the wooden pole he was sitting on with the awesome Atlantic Ocean coastline behind him? I put that photo on social media, and someone guessed that he was in Spain. Yay! He does love it there. And he’s being very careful and taking the time to do some Mindfulness meditation too.

At the same time (yes, I know, I suppose we should call him a time traveler) Bertie Bunny is with our illustrator Kelli in Sweden. As you can see in the photo below, he’s watching her do the sketches for our book, sitting on a stool with a knitted cushion. Nice, huh? He’s watching and doing his breathing exercises at the same time.

As we move forward, let’s discover where else Bertie Bunny goes. Perhaps we’ll find him in a country we’ve never been to? He can show us the world!

If I can ask you one thing, it’s that you help me spread the word about this book, How Bertie Bunny Became Brave, and our sweet and soft little bunny whose role it is to give comfort to as many children as possible. So, if this speaks to you, feel free to share, send me a message and comment on posts you see on Instagram or Facebook. Maybe one day we will see Bertie Bunny and his book in your corner of the world?

That’s all folks, hope you enjoyed reading. Be well sweet friends, take care of yourselves and those you love.
